Our Name
August Ferdinand Möbius was a German mathematician and theorectical astronomer who lived in the 18th century. He is best known for his discovery of the Möbius strip.
A miller noticed that the belt to rotate the stone used for grinding the grain always wore down on the same side. August Möbius came up with the idea to cut the belt in two and joining the ends with a single half-twist. This way he doubled the lifespan of the leather strap.
Möbius’s idea of a twisted strip is considered a stroke of genius for its sheer simplicity. This explains why we chose his name for our company and the Möbius strip as the symbol of our organisation: with a simple change in the key process, return on investment can be doubled.
